Sunrise: October 24, 1946
Sunset: June 28, 2025
Donald Ray Jackson was born on October 24th, 1946, in Magnolia, Arkansas to the union of Marlin and Queen Ester Jackson. He received his formal education within the Magnolia Public School System and later relocated to Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
Donald accepted Christ at an early age. He continued his spiritual growth later in life and was united with the Ark of the New Covenant Church of God in Christ under the leadership of the late Paster Issac T Bailey Sr. He was known as Deacon Jack, and he faithfully served for over 30 years until he was not able to physically attend.
Donald was affectionately known as, “Don, Jack, Papa and Brother Jack.” Donald grew up working with his father. He had many stories about how his father would make him cut the grass and if it wasn’t right he would make him do it over until it was. His father would often say, “If you do a job … do it right.” This was certainly the motto that he lived by no matter what he was doing he aimed to do it right. He had a strong work ethic and was known for his auto-mechanic work, which he taught us all how to check oil, change tires/brakes, keep a full tank of gas, and make sure our cars were ready for the winter.
On Saturday, June 28th, 2025, God called Donald Ray Jackson home. He is preceded in death by Parents: Marlin and Queen Ester Jackson, Brothers: Leo Jackson, Larry Jackson and Charlies Jackson, Daughter: Aletha Ward, Sisters: Lizzie Shaw and Bobbie Goodwin and Sister-in-Law: Gail Cumby.
