Dolores Blust (Casciaro) lived a life grounded in faith, family, service, and love.
Dolores was born on October 11, 1931 and passed away peacefully on October 9, 2026 at the age of 94. Beloved wife of the late Ronald Blust. Proud mother of Anthony (Cynthia) Blust, Lori (Christopher) Gust, Richard (Theresa) Blust and Donald (Lisette) Blust. Cherished grandmother of John Blust, Elise (Nolan) Fink, Christopher (Kate), Benjamin (Margaux) Gust, Riley Boyd, Jake Blust and Calla Blust. Beloved Great-grandmother of Jonah Elliott, Ida Rose and Charlotte Rose. Preceded in death by her parents Settimio and Camillia Casciaro, brothers: Anthony Casciaro, Alfred Casser, Edward Casser, Donald Casser, and sister Carol Casser.
Dolores was the youngest of 6 children, she spent her childhood in the Kenosha/Racine area where she attended school. While in elementary school Dolores enjoyed going to high school football games where her older brother, Tony, announced the play by play. Dolores attended UW Madison where she met her future husband Ron and literally fell head over heels for him off the pier on Lake Mendota. After graduation Dolores worked for Oster and used her Spanish degree to translate for the company. Ron and Dolores were married in 1954 and moved to Whitefish Bay to raise their four children Tony, Lori, Rich, and Don.
Dolores was a full-time mother who enjoyed playing tennis, participating in lively discussions, rosemaling, knitting, and bowling. She later worked for the Milwaukee Road where she was an administrative assistant until the early to mid 80s when she began working in the office for Eastbrook Church. This later turned into a passion as she and Ron volunteered leading bible groups and marriage preparation. As the years progressed, both were instrumental in Eastbrook’s growth and participated in many ministries including missionary work abroad. She loved her grandchildren and enjoyed traveling with Ron to many parts of the globe including Africa, Israel, and Egypt.
Dolores will be remembered for her devout faith and church ministry. In her later days, she enjoyed a cocktail with her girlfriends, playing a great game of dominoes, and a grande almond milk latte with a slice of Racine Kringle.
Visitation will take place at Krause Funeral Home, 7001 West Brown Deer Rd, Milwaukee, Wisconsin on Sunday, October 25th at 2:00pm until time of Service at 3:00pm. Internment at Prairie Home Cemetery.
