Dianne Redenz, age 84, passed away on September 28, 2026.
Dianne was an independent and strong-willed person who also happened to be a woman. She did things her own way, and almost never backed down. In her younger and feistier years, Dianne spoke truth to power. She marched with Fr. Groppi, celebrated the diversity of gender and culture, and loved the outdoors and the recreational opportunities they offered.
A single person, she built a home where she would later provide affordable housing for her parents for 3 decades. She rose to leadership in the 1970’s and 1980’s in a male-dominated corporate hierarchy. In more recent years, she was content sitting in her driveway in an Adirondack chair, face pointed toward the sky soaking in the warm light of the sun.
Those of us who knew her will honor her legacy and the simple things that were most important to her for the rest of our days.
Family and friends wish to thank Froedtert Hospital 5NW for taking care of Dianne as her last days became unexpectedly shorter. And thank you to the wonderful staff at Zilber Hospice for making her short time with them very dignified.
Goodbye for now, Dianne. We will meet again.”
Visitation 9:30 AM – 10:30 AM, with service at 10:30 AM, on Tuesday, October 6, 2026 at St. Margaret Mary Parish, 3970 North 92nd Street, Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
