Diane Ruth Wolf passed away peacefully at her home on August 26, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, June and Irving; her sister, Judy; her brother, Owen; her brother-in-law, Dave, and her sister-in-law, Pat.
She is survived by her sisters, Barb, Billie Jean (Randy), Kathy, and Chris (Joe); her brothers, Butch and Dickie (Barb); her children, Don (Lynn), Leslie, and Dina; her grandchildren, Tony, Mo, Tanner (Jennah), Payton, Carter, Sean, Jacob; her step granddaughter Stephanie (Sherrick); her first great-grandchild, Callan; and many nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
Diane was a loving, generous, hardworking, and feisty woman who would gladly give the shirt off her back to help someone in need. Before and after retirement, she dedicated her time to volunteering at Sojourner Truth, Summerfest, and various golf events, including the tournament where Tiger Woods famously made a hole-in-one.
She was a wonderful example of independence, resilience, and living life on her own terms. She taught all of us to appreciate the moment, embrace new experiences, and never be afraid to try something different.
Diane loved family gatherings and cherished the time spent with her siblings, children, grandchildren, extended family and friends. She enjoyed traveling, going out to eat, and was always up for a good game of Scala, particularly if she won a few hands along the way.
Her smiles, hugs, kisses, competitive spirit, and ability to enjoy life’s simple pleasures brought joy to everyone around her.
Diane will be deeply missed but never forgotten. Her kindness, strength, and sense of adventure will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
A private burial will be held at Arlington Park Cemetery.
A Celebration of Life will be held at her home on Saturday, September 12, 2026. A brief informal service will begin at 2:00 p.m., followed by food, beverages, music, games, and storytelling as we gather to remember, celebrate, and honor Diane’s life.
In lieu of flowers, donations to Sojourner Truth or a tree planting in her honor are welcome. The family hopes you will join us in sharing stories, laughter, and memories of a life well lived.
