Wayne grew up working on a family farm in Rice Lake and brought that work ethic to the city when he and his family moved to Milwaukee. He had many successful years as owner of gas stations and then purchased four taverns in another successful venture. In addition to his love of family and work he had a passion for sports cars and was very proud of his 1972 candy apple red Corvette Sting Ray with chrome side pipes.
Although he was born and raised in Wisconsin, was a fan of the Minnesota Vikings, but when it came to baseball supported the Milwaukee Brewers.
“Wayne, you were one of a kind and will be greatly missed.”
