We have known Dennis 55yrs. For many yrs. we enjoyed getting together for New Years Eve and playing cards. He was always a joy to be around. Recently we had them over for dinner. We had freshly caught pan fish and we were not aware that they never had perch, bluegill, and crappie. we will forever remember how much Dennis enjoyed dinner. I don't know how many times he said I'll just have one more piece of fish. Always a good time with the Meskins. You will be missed.

I worked with Dennis several times (as a contractor for Buell) at shows and demos during the 90s. My wife would occasionally work the events with me, and we both always enjoyed Dennis’ upbeat (and occasionally blunt) approach to everything. At Daytona in 1997, Dennis kept hinting that they were thinking of hiring another person for the Sportster/Buell team. Towards the end of the event, Dennis cornered me and recommended that I come to Milwaukee to interview for the new position on his team. I said I was interested, but I’d need to discuss it with my wife because it would be big change for our family. Dennis responded with “oh we already cleared it with Tracy”. I laughed but double checked with my wife. Dennis (and Pat K.) actually had a lengthy conversation with my wife, and wanted her assurance that she would be okay with moving the family to Milwaukee - before he’d discuss the opportunity with me. I have a lot of people that I’m thankful to for my H-D career, but in addition to being a friend, Dennis was the key to my hiring and other critical decisions during that time. It has always stuck with me that he considered my family - before encouraging me to apply.

I spent quite a bit of time at the Meskin house when I was in high school. I will always remember Dennis as being a “cool Dad”. Really great memories.

Dennis was one of the most kind people I had ever met. He was someone that would take the time to ask how you were doing. He never complained about how he was feeling. He will be deeply missed by everyone at Fresenius. We all loved him.

Dennis was a riot to work for and with. So many good times in the PowerTrain group. I am so sorry to hear of his passing. He left so many good memories with those who knew him.
