Our world became a little less bright on February 2, 2022, when Della Holloway aged 77, entered into eternal glory. She was born March 3, 1944 in Minden, Louisiana. Della had a contagious laugh and beautiful smile that lit up any room. Della had a gentle confidence that instantly made one feel safe and at ease.

She was an avid scrabble player, loved to walk, a fantastic cook, and loved all types of music. Della’s life was enriched by her faith and love in Christ.

She is survived by her beloved husband of 55 years WC Holloway, her 8 children: Sherlene, Sharon, Shawn, Wylbur (Deanna) Shara, Wyllyam (Kia), Wauryce, and Sheila. 7 grandchildren: Niesha, Ivory, Jazmyn, Nia, Imani, Wyllyam Jr, and Ava.

She was preceded in death by her parents Albertine and Clifford King, brother Peter King, sister Ann Rue nee King, and grandson Joseph Payne Jr.

She touched countless lives and made a lasting impression on those around her. Her light will continue to shine through those she loved the most.

The family has chosen to celebrate Della’s life privately at this time.
