David W. Otto

Passed away peacefully on July 15, 2023, at age 92. Loving husband of 62 years to Jalane (nee Weitz). Proud father of Paul Otto and Beth Ann (Darrell) Bruggink. Proud Papa of Andrew, Adam, and Joshua. He was also loved and will be missed by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Agnes Otto, and his brother John Otto.

David attended Grace Lutheran School and graduated from Oshkosh High School. He also attended Oshkosh Teachers College before serving in Europe during the Korean War. He spent his career and retired from Wisconsin Public Service Corporation. He was an avid bowler, golfer, and trap shooter, and for a number of years he pitched for a slow-pitch softball team.

After retirement, he enjoyed traveling, especially his spring pilgrimages to Panama City Beach. He loved watching and supporting his grandchildren at their sporting events and spending time with family and friends.

David was a long-time member of St Mark Evangelical Lutheran Church in Green Bay, where he ushered and served on the counting committee. He also enjoyed their new church home at Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church in Pewaukee.

The family would like to thank the supportive staff at Dickson Hollow and Brighton Hospice for their compassion and care for David.
