David Ralph Lemmermann of Milwaukee, Wisconsin passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, on August 26, 2025 at 90 years of age.

Devoted husband of 57 years to the late Lois (Eland). Dedicated father of the late David, Steven (Tina), Dawn (Jerry) Rooney, Lori (Ken) Roeder, Amy (the late Robert) Kijowski, and Robby. Proud Grandpa to Andrea Rooney, Katie (Jon) Wright, Ashley (Chris) Kelly, Erica (Justin) Wanta, Erin (Robert) Krueger, Gerald Rooney, Daniel (Melina) Roeder, Emily (Matthew) Armagost, Matthew Roeder, Robin Lemmermann, Christina Roeder and Wesley Rooney.

Loving Great Grandpa to Lillian, June, and Celena Wright, Rosella Krueger, Landon and Nash Wanta, Evelyn Neibauer, Niko and Baby Girl Roeder. Big Brother to Kay and Pat. Close Friend of Dale Colvert, who selflessly helped with his care. David has been reunited in Heaven with his beloved wife Lois, dear son David, his parents Henry and Katherine (Scharinger), brothers Henry, Leo, and Robert, and his sister Sue Remm.

David married Lois Eland on June 2, 1962 at the Precious Blood Church in Stephenson, Michigan. They made their home in Milwaukee and raised six children together. He worked numerous jobs, including Cutler Hammer, where he met his wife, Lois. He worked at Tower Automotive (formerly A.O.Smith) for 30 years before retiring in 2000.

David enjoyed nature, whether it was walking in the woods, sitting outside, or taking the “scenic route” while driving. He liked gardening and planting trees in his yard. In his later years, much of his time was spent with family. He enjoyed one on one visits and could reminisce for hours. He listened to “old time music,” was a fan of television sitcoms and a wiz at trivia game shows. He never grew tired of nature and kept busy watching the birds and animals outside his window. He was especially fond of the possums. Dad jokes were his specialty. He stayed up to date with current events, especially when it came to family. He loved having his great grandchildren around and shared a special bond with his “little monkey,” Evelyn.

Visitation will be held at Krause Funeral Home, 9000 West Capitol Drive, Milwaukee, Wisconsin on Tuesday, September 2, 2025 from 2:00 PM – 5:15 PM. Service at 5:30 PM. A private inurnment will take place at a later date: St. Catherine’s of Alexandria Catholic Church Cemetery, 8661 North 76th Place, Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

Dad, you were a Godly man who never lost sight of the ultimate goal of this life. We are certain you heard Jesus say, “Well done, good and faithful servant”, as you held your head high and walked through those Pearly Gates into Heaven.
