David Lawrence George of Pewaukee, WI and Sarasota, FL was born August 10th, 1943 to Paul and Gertrude George in Indianapolis, IN. Dave left this world all too quickly on April 19th, 2023 at age 79 in Sarasota, FL. Dave will be dearly missed by his loving family and his friends who can no longer pick his pocket on the golf course. Dave was a member of St. Anthony on the Lake, Pewaukee and Incarnation Church, Sarasota. Dave graduated Purdue University in 1966 with a degree in mechanical engineering and went on to be employed by The Falk Corporation for 38 years where he was Vice President of Sales & Marketing. Dave also served as Chairman and board member of the American Gear Manufactures Association, served on the Board of Falk Canada and served on the Conveyor Equipment Manufacturers Association Board. Dave loved to serve and it showed through volunteering as chairman for several neighborhood Associations, and served as Chairman for the CISCO adoption group in Oakland County, MI. Dave was actively involved in volunteer church activities at St Joe’s of Wauwatosa.
Dave married (and is survived by) the love of his life Karen (nee Sharpee) on September 5th, 1970. He is survived by his sister, Janice (Chris) of Miami, FL; brothers, Paul of Dayton, OH and Jerry (Christine) of San Francisco, CA; by his children Jonathan and Sara (nee Stalker) of West Bend, WI, Aaron of Garner, NC, and Kirsten of Waukesha, WI. Needling, teasing, warm embraces, smiles, and fancy dance steps are survived through his grandchildren Chastis, Moriah, Isaiah, Nick, Sierra, Anna Grace, and Alissa. Dave is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Dave was preceded in death by his parents Paul and Gertrude George and also, his grandson, Nathan — Grandpa is now just getting to know him.
Dave loved to read, write, golf and travel. He traveled the all over the United States with his kids. He traveled the world with his work and slept on six continents with his wife. Dave was always searching for the silver lining in every cloud and finding it, but it was his smile that everyone will remember most.
A celebration of life will be held at Krause Funeral Home, 21600 W. Capitol Dr., Brookfield, on Sunday, May 7, 2023. Visitation 11:00M to 1:45PM. Celebration of Life at 2:00PM.

“WE WILL GIVE TILL OUR DYING DAY IN HOPE THAT YOU WILL ALSO REAP FROM THOSE BLESSINGS.”
