David Alan Bacon, age 33, was called home to be with the Lord on January 2, 2026, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
David was born on January 26, 1992, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, to the union of Ragenia Graham (Bacon) and Steven Bacon. He was raised in Milwaukee, where he became known and loved by all for his joyful spirit, infectious smile, and boundless love for others.
David was born with Down syndrome, and his life was a powerful testimony that purpose is not measured by occupation, but by impact. He proudly participated in the Club Curative and Adult Day Programs at Curative Care in Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin, where he built meaningful relationships and continued to share his light with others.
From a young age, David pursued excellence and joy through the arts and athletics. He participated in Special Olympics, where he especially loved bowling and track and field. One of his proudest accomplishments was placing third in the 100-meter dash at the Wisconsin State Track and Field Championship for his age group. David was also deeply involved in the “YEPAW (Youth Excellence Performing Arts Workshop, Akron, Ohio), where he expressed himself through mime, praise dance, and singing. In 2015, he was recognized as “Most Excellent Bass”, an honor that brought him great pride.
David was a devoted member of Northside Church of God in Milwaukee. His faith was lived out through service and love. He served faithfully as an usher and was an active member of the Worship Arts Ministry. No matter what he was facing, David welcomed a warm hug, and a radiant smile. His presence alone made people feel seen, valued, and loved.
David’s passions included dancing, mime, drawing, singing, watching musicals, word search puzzles and spending time with family. What people loved most about David was his genuine zeal to participate in any activity where he could express his creativity, his hugs, his artwork, his praise dance. His beautiful spirit was a rare gift.
David was a beloved son, brother, nephew, cousin, uncle, and friend. He is survived by his parents, Ragenia Graham, Steven (Susan) Bacon Sr.; his siblings, Steven (Astasha) Bacon Jr., twin Geoffery (Yomanda) Bacon, Nikki, and Naomi Grant. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Edward and Rachel Graham; his paternal grandparents, Arthur and Georgia Bacon; his aunt, Rhenetta Martin; and his step-grandparents, Joseph and Bessie Lynch.
Though David’s time with us feels far too short, his legacy of love, faith, joy, and compassion will live on in every life he touched. His smile changed rooms. His hugs healed hearts. His spirit reflected God’s love in its purest form.
Viewing and Visitation will be held on January 17, 2026, from 9:30 A.M. to 11:00 A.M., followed by a Celebration of Life Service from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M., at Northside Church of God, located at 4858 North 19th Street, Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes donations in David’s memory to Special Olympics of Wisconsin, Curative Care (curative.org),
or YEPAW (Youth Excellence Performance Arts Workshop, Akron Ohio); organizations that brought him joy, purpose, and community.
