We gather together and let our collected spirits support one another. We honor the sacred memories of our loved ones together, and this honors us. We honor the memory of your loved one, and we honor you, and the courage you have shown in carrying on in the wake of your loss.
We honor and celebrate with music, prayers, poetry and candle lighting ceremony as we recite the names of our loved ones if a name has been submitted. If you didn’t submit their name, and are viewing from home, simply say their name as names are read.
If present, you are welcome to share a few words about your loved one and your loss. If watching virtually, please post condolences to this page. Also, light a candle in memory of your loved one – on our website, left side of screen.
Our loved ones, gone from us, deserve to be remembered. Our own hearts and spirits, in whatever state of healing and ongoing grief, miss our loved ones, as we persevere. It can be a healing act to commemorate them in a ceremony that honors their places in our hearts and lives, in our memories. This is especially the case when we do it with a community of others who have also lost family members, and are similarly challenged by the task of grief.
