Colleen Kirchberg (Germain)
May 9, 1957 – May 10, 2025
Colleen Louise Kirchberg (Germain), age 68, passed away peacefully and comfortably at home on May 10, 2025, just one day after celebrating her birthday.
Born and raised in St. Paul, Colleen was a proud Minnesotan. A devoted daughter, sister, mother and friend, Colleen’s life was centered around loving and helping others. As a single mother, she worked tirelessly to provide for her children, always putting family first. She found her professional calling as an occupational therapist—a role she pursued with deep passion, compassion, and commitment.
Colleen had an extraordinary gift for friendship. From childhood companions to lifelong work friends, she built and nurtured strong, meaningful connections with so many people. Her warmth, sense of humor, and unwavering support left an imprint on everyone who knew her.
She is survived by her loving daughter Chelsea, son Michael, cherished grandchildren Anthony and Olivia, and her brothers Dale and David. Colleen also leaves behind many extended family members and a large circle of friends who will miss her dearly.
She has found peace in the arms of her parents, Alice and Tom.
Colleen’s legacy of kindness, resilience, and dedication lives on in all who were lucky enough to know and love her.
A celebration of Colleen’s life will take place on Wednesday, May 28, 2025, at Krause Funeral Home, 12401 West National Ave, New Berlin, Wisconsin. Please join us from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM for time with family and friends, followed by memory sharing beginning at 4:00 PM.
