Clarice Jean Pahle

Passed peacefully into the arms of her Lord Jesus Christ, on Monday, July 28, 2025, at the age of 96. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Dr. David Dalrymple and second husband Dr. Raymond Pahle, and many dear family and friends. She is survived by sons Gregg and Joe, daughters Lynn, Barb, Jane, and Nancy, and their spouses, 13 loving grandchildren and their spouses, and 6 great grandchildren.

Clarice was born in Milwaukee, WI on May 9^th, 1929, to Clarence and Marguerite Sowle. As a young woman, she was active in Job’s Daughter and served a term as Honored Queen. She was also a long-time member of West Allis Chapter #172 O.E.S. She attended West Allis Central High School where she met Dave. After high school she attended Marquette University to study nursing and continued her studies at County General Hospital-now Froedtert. Her caring and kind heart was an obstacle to finishing her degree- she cared so much about each of her patients, and it began to affect her own health. She married Dave in 1951 and had children Gregg and Lynn. She was a very loving mom, wanting only the best for her family. She was involved as Den Mother for Gregg’s Cub troop and troop leader for Lynn’s Girl Scout troop, and in countless other ways- she was always there for them. She was a devoted and supportive wife to Dave as he started his Podiatry practice- she helped him as his bookkeeper, billing clerk, and office cleaning staff as well as service with the podiatry auxiliary. Widowed at an early age, she kept her family together while continuing to help her mother.

A phone call to a long-time family friend inquiring about a job became a date, and the rest is history- Clarice married Ray 1978, becoming a mom to 5 more adult children. She loved supporting her very busy veterinarian husband and enjoyed the travel that came with his profession. The retirement time spent in Arizona was especially enjoyable. She welcomed the spouses of her kids and loved them as her own- and she was so thrilled to become a Gramma and eventually Great Gramma.

In the early 1990’s she took a quilting class, and she discovered a new way of showing her love. Each of her 13 grandchildren received a quilt made by her as a high school graduation gift. Each pattern and every fabric was carefully chosen for the recipient- as she worked on the quilts, she poured her love for each child into every stitch.

Her journey of faith deepened with every year and every life experience. She knew Jesus as her Lord and Savior and showed gratitude for every day she was given, whether easy or hard. Even in her last days, she prayed in gratitude for the gifts she has been given and never stopped praying for each member of her family… her God, her family, herself… in that order.

She was dearly loved and will be deeply missed.

Visitation will be held at Krause Funeral Home, 21600 West Capitol Drive, Brookfield, Wisconsin, on Monday, August 4, 2025, 2:00 PM – 3:45 PM. Funeral Service at 4:00 PM. Burial will be held privately at Highland Memorial Park.
