Cheryl Ann Wade

Cheryl Ann Wade was called home to rest in God’s loving arms on Sunday, February 25, 2024 while surrounded by family and friends. Cheryl was born on January 25, 1958 in Madison, Illinois. She was the daughter of Rose and Fred Wade who preceded her in death. She attended Manual High School and was in the graduating class of 1976 in Peoria, Illinois. She was employed at Lutheran Social Services and North Star Abatement in Milwaukee, WI.

She was a member of Greater House of Joy Church of God in Christ, under the pastoral leadership of Pastor Robert White and First Lady Debra White of Milwaukee, WI.

She will be remembered by her loving smile, open heart, warm hugs, welcoming kindness and genuine laughter. She was a best friend to anyone and everyone she met. She loved and welcomed everyone into her home and raised several children that were not her own. Her love will forever be an inspiration to us all.

She was preceded in death by her three sisters: Velma M. Wade, Freddie B. Wade and Pamela Rose Wade. Debbie Smith (Peoria, IL), her best friend of 53 years, also preceded her in death.

Cheryl is survived by her three brothers; Jesse Panel (Batesville, MS), Donald Wade (Peoria, IL) and Delano Wade (Milwaukee, WI). She leaves to mourn her loving big sister, Leontyne Wade (Milwaukee, WI). She also leaves to mourn her nephews and ALL of her nieces; Tamon Wade, Jerwonia M. Wade (Chicago), Jerwonia Wade (Milwaukee), Chantel Wade, Ebony Stallings, Desarae Nelms, Colleen McNeal and LeAnn Horowitz.

Her beautiful life will forever be cherished in the lives of her three sons, eleven grandchildren and 5 great grandsons; Demarco Wade (Peoria, IL) and his five children; Tequisha Wade, Deangelo Wade, Demonte Wade, Daishanae Wade and Terriona Wade. Delano Wade (Milwaukee, WI) and his five children; Maurice Wade, Delanta Cheryl Wade, Delairra Wade, Delano Maurice Wade Jr and Delkarie Wade. Bobby Baker (Milwaukee, WI) and his one son Shaun Baker. And a host of devoted nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 12, 2024 at Krause Funeral Home, 9000 West Capitol Drive, Milwaukee, Wisconsin from 9:30 AM – 11:30 AM. Service at 11:30 AM.  Interment at Graceland Cemetery to follow.
