Cheri Lynn Krauss

Cheri was one of my nurses at St. Francis. I had just graduated from nursing school 6 months before and had now been diagnosed with a platelet disorder and I had to go to the hospital almost daily for treatment and the Cancer clinic weekly to have my blood drawn to have my levels check to make sure the treatment was working. And then I had to have chemo. But Cheri was always so polite, comforting, and spirited. And then I found out she worked with my twin sister for years after my twin graduated from nursing school. And then I found out her mother worked at the rural high school my twin and I attended. I was so funny how we were connected! She was such a joy and feisty. She was the very vision of what nursing should be. She made me proud to have chosen to be in this profession and I strived to be like her and the other nurses she worked with at the Cancer clinic. Kind, compassionate, and funny. She made my time there bearable. She will sadly be missed. In God's loving arms, rest and hurt no more, Cheri. You were truly doing God's work on earth, an real life angel.

I worked with Cheri for probably the entire time she was at St. Francis Hospital until I retired. I can still see her in my minds eye and remember when we would walk down a hallway together talking. She was a great nurse and just as important a wonderful person. My condolences to her friends and family.

I had the pleasure working with Cheri at Trinity Memorial hospital and St. Francis She was the best, caring, an advocate for her patients, great teacher for new nurses, friend to everyone, made us laugh, told the best jokes and stories. Heaven has gain a true Angel . RIP in peace Cheri

I had worked with Cheri for 20 years.She was my preceptor when I first started there. She was so knowledgeable & carrying . She was one of the top 5 important nurses that taught me so much. I became the nurse I did because if her. She had many characteristics all wrapped up in one short package.But don't let her size fool you. Cause she could be a determined Lil pistol to get what she wanted or needed for her patients. She gave comfort when your down laughter when sad & help when you needed. Cheri was the kindest, sweetest, most caring person who always wore an infectious smile. Even when she was at work and not feeling well, she would hold her head up and work as hard as she could. She felt like family in the 6 + years I've been blessed to work with her. Truly a huge loss for us all . God Bless and RIP Cheri.

I had the pleasure of working with Cheri since I started St. Francis Hospital in 2002. She was a great role model as I began my nursing career and always so kind to new nurses and nursing students. That memeory will always stay with me. She loved to share her knowledge and passion, and I am forever grateful for all she taught me. I will always remember her laugh too....
