Carol (nee Mielke) Wallner passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 17, 2024, age 85, surrounded by family. She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Theodore “Ted” Wallner.
Carol retired from Copesan Services after working nearly 30 years as the Assistant to the President. Ted and Carol were one of the original homeowners on Lake Sherwood in Rome, Wisconsin, spending many summers boating and fishing and many winters snowmobiling. She survived the Great Kitchen Fire of 1988.
Along with Ted, Carol enjoyed traveling, going to casinos, playing cards, and cheering on the Green Bay Packers.
Carol is survived by her son Neal (Sally) Wallner, daughter Lisa (Kevin) Behnke, son Scott (Deb) Wallner; grandchildren Kelly Carl, Janelle (Mike) Andrews, Brett (Eden) Wallner, Joel Behnke (Angela), Jennifer (John) Makary and Alex (Kali) Wallner; and great-grandchildren Isabelle, Nathan, Wyatt, Lucca, Hadley, Kinzley, Everly and Kelten.
She is also preceded in death by brother Gary Mielke, her sister Diane Kuban, grandson Jordan Wallner, and great-grandson Everett Wallner.
Visitation will be on Monday, April 29, 2024, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Krause Funeral Home, 21600 West Capitol Drive, Brookfield, Wisconsin. Memorial Service at 11:00 AM. Interment at Highland Memorial Park.
