Brett James Seese was born to eternal life, accompanied by his wife Kristin, at home in Brookfield, Wisconsin on September 26, 2020. Brett was preceded in death by his father Robert Mikorski, his maternal grandfather Ralph (Bud) Hedman, his uncle Roger Hedman, his beloved cousin Jesse Dugan, Chance Dugan, and his sister-in-law Mindy. Brett is survived by his cherished children Christina and Ashton Seese, his step-daughter Adelle Sardina, his mother Roxanne Hedman, adoptive father David Seese, brothers Michael Mikorski, Lee, Bryan, and Ben Seese, his sisters Becky, Brenda, Tamara, and Amanda Seese, and his sisters-in-law Erica, Stephanie, Sarah Seese, and Monique Mikorski. He is further survived by numerous beloved aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Brett graduated from the University of Wisconsin—Milwaukee in 2004 with honors. He was a successful IT professional who was very proud of his work. Brett loved to boast about his children. Watching them succeed academically brought him great pride. He also enjoyed coaching their sports teams and highlighting their achievements at every opportunity. Brett loved to travel. He took many long road trips with his family, including to the Hedman farm in South Dakota where he would spend his days fishing with his skunk sisters and shooting guns with his uncle Kirby. Brett enjoyed finding opportunity and adventure in all he did. He loved trying new foods, meeting new people, listening to all types of music, and finding beauty in the landscapes he visited. Few would have guessed in his younger years that he would grow in his older years to love taking photographs of flowers. Throughout his life, Brett had an abundance of friends. His magnetic personality and boisterous laugh have left lasting memories in those who knew him. To say that Brett lived life to the fullest is an understatement. Everything he did was done without restraint. He loved his wife Kristin unconditionally. His family and friends find solace in knowing Brett and Kristin remain intertwined in death as they were in life. We miss you, Brett. May you rest in peace.
Visitation for Brett will be held at Krause Funeral Home, 12401 West National Avenue, New Berlin, Wisconsin on Thursday, October 8, 2020, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Additional visitation will be held at Spring Creek Church, N35 W22000 West Capitol Drive, Pewaukee, Wisconsin on Friday, October 9, 2020, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM, with funeral services to follow starting at 12:00 PM.
