Passed away peacefully on April 15th, 2023, at the age of 58 years old. Beloved Son of Patrick H. Manske (Carol Teg), and Phyllis Kessenich (Lavern Kessenich), cherished brother of Michelle Webb, Margaret Layo (William Budzien), Fredrick (Terese), Carolyn and Lawrence, and Patrick McGeshick. Loving uncle to Kevin and Nick Layo, Kristen Olguin (Anthony), Andrea and Joseph Marschner, and Jacob Sandy. Bill will be especially missed by his life love and devoted soulmate, Joanne Pawelski. Further survived by aunts, uncles, and many cousins and friends.

Family was extremely important to Bill, and he never failed to attend a family event, always bringing his freewheeling fun spirit. Bill ended every family conversation or parting with an “I love you.” From early on, Bill was passionate about practicing and performing rock music on his drums and became an accomplished musician at a young age. He loved his vintage Cutlass, and his Harleys. Bill lived his life to the fullest, he loved riding, the adventure and freedom of the road, the wind in his hair and the camaraderie of the ride with friends.

Bill was a hardworking man of action and enjoyed the decades of his career in the family businesses and contributing along with his father and brothers to the success of the companies. He was a do-er and always had an improvement project going, either at his house, his rental properties or lending a hand to friends or family on their projects. Bill, we love you and you will be missed and, in our hearts, forever.

To continue Bill’s love and legacy of music, in lieu of flowers, memorials to White House of Music appreciated.

Memorial Service to be held on May 12th, 2023, beginning with a visitation from 11:30 AM – 12:45 PM at St. Mary’s Catholic Faith Community, 9520 West Forest Home Avenue, Milwaukee, Wisconsin, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 1:00 PM. Graveside service immediately following at Mt. Olivet Cemetery.

I am so sorry to hear of Bill's passing . So many childhood memories . I ran into a Bill on a beautiful summer saturday on a Pewaukee lake dock years ago. He was so happy, and so excited to tell me about his life and his band he was in. It was good to see him So happy. I will always remember him their. Prayers, hugs to you all.

Bill was a great drummer and friend to me and my family. Bill and I played in three bands together. Hard Knox, Street Wolf and Snow Blind. Bill was always ready to rock and gave 100% plus to every show and will be deeply missed by one and all.

Bill was apart of my father's band when I was a small child, the one thing I remember about him was when he would come over for practice he always had it's skates with him, he would zip around the road and had a sense that he was just loving life to the fullest. Rock on Bill, you will be missed.

Condolences to the entire Manske family. I will cherish the memories of playing music with Bill going back to our high school days when he taught me how to drive stick shift in his old Datsun wagon. Rock on, Billy! ✌🏻💜

Oh Billy how you will be missed. From seeing you play multiple times in the Big Wheel Band to our rubber band fights and working together for years, you were the big brother I never wanted but loved every minute of having. How lucky I was to have known you for so long and will cherish all the memories made over the years. I know you are rocking out in Heaven with Phyliss cheering you on. Sending love, prayers and strength to the family during this difficult time.

So sorry to hear of Bill's passing. As a fellow NBHS survivor, I was in awe of his talent from high school. He always wore a smile (especially behind the drumset) and I've never heard a bad word about him. Heaven will be rocking! My condolences to his family & close friends 😞

Very sorry to hear of Bills passing. I met Bill in high school band. Played together in concert band...pops ensemble, and pep band. While many were terrified of Mr Boller (the director) it didn't seem to phase Bill at all. Would show up late for ensemble practice, hair dripping wet. I already knew he would be fine as he was the best drummer we had by far and we needed him...especially in jazz band. Saw him a few times in Big Wheel Band as well. A free spirit that is now truly free.

There are never the right words to say in times like these. But it is said that our destiny is never known. All we can do is to touch the lives and hold the hearts of the ones we encounter. Bill was a good man, who held the hearts of family and friends most dearly. He will be missed by all.

Bill, you were truly my favorite person to ever play music with. Your positive spirit, go get em attitude and fun, playful wit made every night a joy! I'm glad we spoke Brother! May God hold you in His everlasting peace! My deepest condolences to all his family as well as close friends!
