Beverly (Schubert) Jahn, age 92 years, a resident of Hartland, was escorted to heaven on Sunday, June 4th, 2023.
She was born October 29, 1930 in Milwaukee, a daughter of the late Herman and Hilda (Holtz) Rehberg. She was baptized into God’s family on November 27, 1930 and was later confirmed in her Christian faith at Saron Lutheran Church in Milwaukee.
On May 3, 1952 she married Frank D. Schubert in Waukegan, Illinois. Frank passed away in an automobile accident on January 11, 1962. She married Carl W. Jahn Jr. on June 19, 1965. Carl passed away on March 18, 2004.
Beverly was a 1951 graduate of Mt. Sinai School of Nursing, Milwaukee. She was employed as an occupational health nurse for most of her working career. In 1981, Beverly and Carl moved to Fond du Lac. Beverly was a faithful member of Hope Lutheran Church, Fond du Lac, and in her later years, Divine Redeemer Lutheran Church of Hartland.
Survivors include her son, Rev. Jeffery (Judy) Schubert of Hartland and their children, Christin Schubert, and Joseph (Sara) Schubert and their children William and Evelyn, as well as many friends and loved ones.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Herman and Hilda Rehberg; her father and mother-in-law Frank and Esther Schubert; her husbands, Frank and Carl, her sister Marcella (Lester) Sellin; her sister-in-laws Adeline (Norman) Crantz; Mildred (John) Giannetti; Rose Schubert; Ruth (Rev. Edward) Renz; and brother-in-laws Harry Schubert and Lester Sellin, nieces and nephews and a large number of close friends.
Bev will always be remembered for her strong Christian faith; her many prayers for her family; her love and care for others; her generosity and gift of hospitality; the joy and laughter she brought to so many; her servant heart and her endurance even in the face of great physical difficulties.
Against all the ravages of aging and a multitude of her medical challenges, Bev put up a valiant fight to remain independent to the very end, clinging to her undaunted faith in her Lord Jesus, whom she now sees face to face, after a very long season of waiting to meet Him and all His saints.
Her many loving friends and family will never forget her.
Visitation will be June 12th from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Krause Funeral Home, 21600 West Capitol Drive, Brookfield, Wisconsin 53072. Bev’s Celebration of Life service will then follow at 11:00 AM.
Pastors Steve Huff and Adam Wolfe will serve as co-officiants.
Immediately following the service, Bev’s committal and entombment will take place at Wisconsin Memorial Park’s Mausoleum in Brookfield.
Memorials in Beverly’s name may be directed to Divine Redeemer Lutheran Church’s Endowment Fund, or St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
