Betty Jean Ban

Passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 25, 2017. Age 94. Born October, 11, 1922 in Hibbing Minnesota to John Karl and Anna (nee Relich) Ban. Betty graduated from Hibbing High School in 1940 and went on to attend St. John’s School of Nursing Education in Springfield, Illinois where she graduated in 1945. Betty served as a Registered Nurse at St. Mary’s Hospital in Milwaukee until her retirement. After retirement, Betty remained adventurous and volunteered as an English teacher in Poland, and toured Russia and Sweden.
She is preceded in death by her brothers Joe and Tom Ban, and her sisters Millie Bell and Anita Kirsh.
She is survived by her darlings; Ed, Patricia, Gabriela, Edmund, and Joseph Nunez; her dear goddaughter Martha (Mike) Furst and the Furst family;  her sisters Helen Navid, Pauline Baumgartner, and Donna Kopish; and many nieces and nephews.
Betty was very grateful for the care that she received at the Regency.
Gathering at St. Luke Catholic Church, 18000 West Greenfield Avenue, Brookfield, Wisconsin, Saturday, March 4, 2017, from 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM. Memorial Mass at 12:00 PM.

In lieu of flowers memorials in Betty’s memory to the St. Vincent de Paul Society or St. Luke Catholic Church appreciated.
