Angela V. Ewing

Angela V. Ewing peacefully entered God’s loving arms on Thursday, June 4, 2026.

Born on March 9, 1961, Angela was a woman of intelligence, strength, resilience, and unwavering faith. She was known for her sophisticated style, authenticity, candid nature, quick wit, beautiful smile, and unmistakable laugh. She approached life with determination and grace, leaving a lasting impression on all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Angela earned both a Bachelor’s degree and a Master of Business Administration and built a distinguished career in Human Resources. She worked for the State of Wisconsin, where she served as a Human Resources Program Officer with the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources. She was respected by colleagues for her professionalism, leadership, expertise, and commitment to excellence.

Outside of her career, Angela found joy in gardening, reading, traveling, cooking new recipes, shopping, connecting with friends, and spending time with her grandchildren. She loved learning, enjoyed meaningful conversations, and had a remarkable ability to encourage and uplift others.

Above all, Angela cherished her family. She was a devoted mother and grandmother who loved unconditionally and took great pride in her children and grandchildren. She taught those she loved to stand firm in who they were, trust themselves, and face life’s challenges with strength and conviction. Her guidance, sacrifices, wisdom, and steadfast support will remain a lasting gift to those whose lives she touched.

Angela leaves to cherish her memory her children, Michael A. Crawford Sr., Donald R. Ewing Jr. (LaKayla), and Arielle J. Ewing; her beloved grandchildren, Madison S. Crawford, Laila R. Ewing, Leah R. Ewing, Michael A. Crawford Jr., and Linden R. Ewing; her siblings, Reginald L. Burks Sr., Serena Y. Burks, LyChante (Michael) Chones, Johnny (Tanya) Burks, Kandice Burks, Joseph (Shaina) Burks, Kourtney (Michael) Coleman, and James Burks; and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, extended family members, dear friends, and former colleagues.

Angela was preceded in death by her father, Johnnie W. Burks; her mother, Martha J. Hickman-Mabon; her brother, Johnny W. Burks Jr.; and her sister, Jonnae Burks.

Though her earthly journey has ended, her legacy of love, faith, strength, wisdom, and devotion

to family will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
