Andrade Judson Gay was born on June 23, 1959, to the union of Mamie Ruth Gay and Donald E. Gay Sr. and raised in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Andrade received his formal education within the Milwaukee Public School System attending Washington High School. He valued education and completed two years of college.
Andrade accepted Christ as his Savior and joined Mt. Hermon Missionary Baptist Church. On December 31, 1993, Andrade Gay was united in holy matrimony with Beatrice Rhodes-Gay in Milwaukee. Their union was blessed with one beautiful daughter.
He had a love for men’s fashion in his younger days, he was employed by Johnny Walker’s in Capitol Court. Then he became employed by Milwaukee Public Schools Division of School Safety & Security for thirty-five years. Andrade was the assistant coach and counselor for high school kids, alongside Coach Gordon at Washington High School. He was the head coach for North Division for six years, while also working in Milwaukee Recreation during the summers. He then was employed by Master Lock for ten years. In his leisure time he enjoyed watching sports, eating good food, and hanging out at Catfish Lounge with many of his friends.
Andrade Judson Gay departed this life on January 30, 2026. He was preceded in death by parents, Donald E. Gay Sr. and Mamie Ruth Gay; grandparents Erma White, Walter Bunn, Louis (Gay) Cochran, Frank Gay Sr.; brother, Gregory Gay; three uncles Clarence Neal, James White, and Frank Gay Jr.; two aunts Joyce White and Laura Gleason; mother-in-law Maxine McFadden and father-in-law A.T McFadden.
He leaves to cherish his memory: wife Beatrice Rhodes-Gay; one daughter, Ariel (Richard Jr.) Melton; one brother Donald (Mary) Gay; one sister Janice Gay; two sisters in laws, Charita (Kurt) Gordon, Vivian Brookshire; three nephews, Julius Rhodes, Justin Gay, and Leon Groce; three nieces, Bianca Gordon, Jaya Gordon, and Tia Gay; a host of cousins and friends.
He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
