Al was a favorite of mine at the Model Railroad Club, Wilson Park Senior Center. If I look up "really nice guy" in my mental dictionary I get Al's picture. During our unruly "business meetings", Al kept us on track with Robert's Rules of Order. Any question on how he was doing on a build of a complicated Shay steam locomotive kit was always answered: "two weeks". I will really miss him.

Alan, was such a wonderful first cousin. I talked with Allan many times on the phone. He would tell me about his love for Ireland and the wonderful friendly people. He missed going there and his travels he said stopped because of his health. He wrote the most beautiful letter at Christmas. I will never forget you Allan you were such a kind cousin. My heart goes out to all of his family members. RIP cousin ❤️🙏🙏❤️

To Allan's family, please accept my condolences on his passing. He became a dear friend over the years. He originally received my card of appreciation for his military service during his Honor Flight trip to D.C. We became penpals and wrote each other every month (or more) over the past 7 or so years. Allan was also a geneorous supporter of Friends Of The Troops, the nonprofit that I founded 6 years ago. Many of our volunteers around the country enjoyed writing to him. Please know that he will be greatly missed.
Peace of mind is a call away. We’re here when you need us most.
