Allan John Sharafinski
Born to Eternal Life on Sunday, July 6, 2025, at the age of 84. Preceded in death by his devoted wife Marylee, son David Sharafinski, grandson Conner Mills, and brother Leroy Sharafinski. Survived by his son Michael (Dina) Sharafinski, daughter Karen (Stephen) Mills, and daughter-in-law Adina Parker-Sharafinski (David) Sharafinski. Further survived by his grandchildren, Nicholas (Nicole) Sharafinski, Maya Sharafinski and Adam Sharafinski, his brother Mark (Stefania) Sharafinski, and his sisters-in-law, Jean (George) Risberg and Diane (James) Pankowski. Allan also leaves numerous nephews, nieces and many friends and neighbors to remember him fondly.
Allan was a proud United States Air Force Veteran, having served as a B-52 Flight Simulation Specialist from September 4th, 1962, through September 2nd, 1966.
After honorably completing his military service, Allan returned to Wisconsin to marry the love his life, Marylee Pankowski and begin his family.
Allan was an IBEW Local 494 Journeyman Electrician, working for Staff, Roman and Ardell Electric, to mention just a few. He shared his knowledge and skills by teaching apprentice electricians through the JATC (Joint Apprenticeship Training Committee). For years, he utilized his electrical skills in the service of St. Veronica’s Parish (Milwaukee).
Allan was always willing to help family and friends and was a voracious reader. He was a master of multiple hobbies, including shipbuilding, model rocketry, model railroading, woodworking, and he loved playing sheepshead with friends at the Muskego Library and Alpine Lanes.
He spent every summer for years with his family at Shawano Lake, where he started every morning making mountains of pancakes before spending all day on the lake waterskiing and tubing with his family.
After retirement Allan rekindled his love of travel, having visited Ireland multiple times and finally traveling south and west to see the country he loved so much. In honor of Allan’s love of all things Irish, please consider wearing green to his funeral.
Allan’s funeral will be celebrated at St. Leonard’ Catholic Church, W173S7743 Westwood Drive, Muskego WI 53150, where he was a member and usher for more than 20 years. Please join the family on Friday, August 1, 2025. Visitation will be from 9:00AM-10:45AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00AM.
