Jill, Don and Robin Hoebbel left a message on December 29, 2022:
Al was such a special man! We enjoyed his humor and stories he would tell at every family gathering. He was a great cook and his barbecue was always the best! He gave great advice and was always interested in how Robin was doing and was always willing to give her financial advice since they shared their love of pinching pennies. He left a legacy that will never be forgotten. Al left us too soon and we will never be the same without him.
Tom Bolton left a message on December 18, 2022:
I was saddened to read of Al’s passing, but at the same time, memories of his stories brought a smile to my face. I worked with Al at the City of Milwaukee, and he helped me immeasurably with my career after life in DER. But most of all, he taught me the value of balanced life. He also taught me to speak more passionately for important issues. I wish I could come and share memories with you at the visitation, but my health won’t permit right now. Heaven is a joyful place with Al sharing in the delights. Condolences to Nancy and Stephanie and his extended family too.
