Alejandro Acevedo Lopez (“Jando”) joined other Yankee fans who have managed to make it into heaven on January 5, 2022, after living a life full of love for his precious wife of 70-years, Genoveva (nee Vera-Velazquez) and his six children, Alex (Nancy), Charles R. (Ana), Milton R., Olga M. (Pat), Hyran A. (Lori), and Orlando R. (Kerry).
Every day, he demonstrated his love and devotion to them, to his God and to his country. Jando was a simple man with simple but enviable principles: honesty, directness, and fair play toward everyone he met. Everyone he encountered enjoyed the experience, and he is deeply loved by the many children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, other relatives, and friends he leaves behind.
