Died unexpectedly Thurs., Jan. 21, 2010, after a short battle with cancer, at the age of 71. Preceded in death by his parents, Reuben and Esther Gandt. Dear brother of Mary (Milt) Risgaard. Uncle of Mike (Jeni), Dave (Ann) and Jon (Stephanie) Risgaard. Further survived by family and friends.Bill was a professional Percussionist who had worked as a traveling music teacher for the Milwaukee public school system, and was involved in many musical groups including the Milwaukee legion band, Milwaukee Festival Brass Band and Milwaukee Memorial concert band. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the American Cancer Society would be appreciated.Memorial Service at Calvary Lutheran Church, 1750 N. Calhoun Rd., Brookfield, WI, Sat., February 6, 11AM.
