Bill enjoyed his long career as an administrative law judge for the State of Wisconsin. He also proudly served in the United States Army Reserves, attaining the rank of Colonel; he retired from the USAR in 2002 as Chief of Staff of the 84th Division (TNG). His awards include the Army Commendation Medal, Meritorious Service Medal and Legion of Merit.
Bill was a Knight Commander Chevalier of the St. John the Baptist Priory of the Sovereign Military Order of the Temple of Jerusalem in Milwaukee. He volunteered his time for Wills for Heroes and the 84th Division Alumni. He also taught business law courses in his post-retirement career as a college instructor. Golf, bicycling, traveling and home brewing were some of his many interests. Bill was also an avid Packers and Brewers fan and was known for his incredibly dry sense of humor.
