Wayne E. Short

Passed away peacefully on January 18, 2015, at the age of 82. Dear husband of Marcia (nee Meurett), for 64 years. Proud father of Sandy (Steve) Bastian, Sharon (John) Riegler, Susie (John) Creason, and Stef (Mike) Raasch. Grandfather of Lori, Katie, Janel (Chris), Steven, Evan, and Tommy. Great-grandfather of Aria, Alex, Nicholas, Cole, and Zach. Brother of Wes (Barbara) Short. Preceded in death by his beloved Wiener dog, Willie. Also loved by other relatives and friends.

Wayne proudly served for 2 years in the National Guard at Fort McCoy, WI during the Korean War. He enjoyed spending time with friends and family, rummage sales, and a brief retirement in Arizona with his wife.

Visitation at the Funeral Home, 9000 West Capitol Drive, on Saturday, January 24, 2015 from 10:00 AM-12:00 PM. Celebration of Wayne's life at 12:00 PM. Private burial at Wisconsin Memorial Park. Memorials appreciated to Cedar Community in West Bend, WI. A special thank you to the staff at Cedar Community for their love and care.
