Wanda J. Schaefer

(nee Biesiada) Born in Milwaukee on May 6, 1915. Wanda, 94, passed into God's care on Tuesday, June 2, 2009. She worked many years in Milwaukee and married Robert in 1936. By 1956, they had moved to Muskego where Wanda is remembered fondly by many. In her lifetime, Wanda was proud of her family, her time as a Girl Scout leader and member of Bethany and Heritage Presbyterian churches. Her passions were hunting, fishing, biking and swimming. In later years Wanda enjoyed her friends and housemates at Autumn Villa. Most recently, she was a resident at Mt. Carmel where all will miss her smiles and greetings. Dear mother of Donna (the late Bob) Watier and Joan (Bill Parkis). Proud grandmother of the late Pierre (Kris) and Andre' (Jennifer), and great-grandchildren, Brittany and Brandon Watier. Further survived by sisters Alice (the late Bill) Page and Delores (the late Eddie) Jurowski, and many treasured nieces and nephews. Also, brother-in-law Donald Schaefer, good friend Jeannine Baver, and Wanda's Autumn Villa family. Preceded in death by parents Julia and John Biesiada, and siblings Blanche, Jean and Casimir. Family and friends of Wanda Schaefer will gather to honor and remember her life on Saturday, June 13, at the Krause Funeral Home, New Berlin. Visitation 9:00 AM-11:15 AM, service follows at 11:30AM. Memorials may be made to Heritage Presbyterian Church or to Wanda's Bench Fund for a memorial bench to be placed on Idle Isle, at Little Muskego Lake, a place she loved so much.
