Called home to the Lord Wednesday, October 6, 2010. Age 85. Beloved husband of June (nee Behnke) for 52 years. Loving father of Douglas (Ping-Chih) Keil, Susan (James) Klopfenstein and Sharon Keil. Proud grandpa of Amy Klopfenstein, Heidi (Adam) Shroyer and Anna Keil. Also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Visitation at BLESSED SAVIOR LUTHERAN CHURCH, 15250 W. Cleveland Av., Saturday, October 9, 10-11 AM. Funeral Service 11 AM. Reception to follow at Krause Funeral Home, 12401 W. National Av. Burial with Military Honors at Wisconsin Memorial Park at 2 PM. Please meet in the red parking area.Walter worked as a civil engineer for the Wisconsin State Highway Department of Transportation. He proudly served his country as a Marine in WWII and Korea. In lieu of flowers, memorials appreciated to Blessed Savior Endowment Fund.
