Violet L. Danek

(Nee Powell) Born into eternal life on Thursday, February 3, 2011 at the age of 81 years. Adoring wife of Robert J. Danek. Devoted mother of Shelley (Justin) Norkunas, Robert (Mary Jo) Danek and John (fiance Annmarie) Danek. Devoted and loving grandmother of Jennifer (Michael), Robert, Leanna, Marley and Lindsay. Beloved sister of June Rupp. Also survived by other friends and family. She was preceded in death by her parents. Visitation at the Funeral Home, Saturday, February 12, 10:00 AM-12:00 PM. Funeral Service to follow at 12:00 PM. Vi took special interest in helping raise her grandchildren and was always there when they needed her. She enjoyed spending time at the family cottage in Northern Wisconsin and was a lover of nature. She took particular interest in birds and gardening and also enjoyed berry picking. She was an avid cook and baker and was well loved for her cherry pies, brownies and pickles. Mom, you will always be loved, remembered and missed.
