Velma I. Phinney

November 28, 2010, age 93 years. Beloved wife of the late James. Survived by daughters Diane (John) Repensek and Lucinda (Martin) Kummer, granddaughters Catherine (John) Schmidt and Laura Kummer, and great-grandchildren Lilian, Alec, and Clara Schmidt. Also survived by brother Lowell (Floy) Peterson and sisters-in-law Joy Jillson and Helen Phinney. Velma received her BS in Commerce at Kansas State University. She was active in numerous organizations including the Fox Point Federated Garden Club where she held several offices.Memorial service Saturday, December 11, 2010 at 11 AM at NORTH SHORE CONGREGATIONAL CHURCH 7730 N. Santa Monica Blvd, Fox Point. Family will greet guests immediately following the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Milwaukee District Garden Club Scholarship Fund, c/o Sally Edgett, 8227 N. Lake Drive, Fox Point 53217 or North Shore Congregational Church appreciated.
