Waiting with the Lord with him are his infant twin nieces, Amanda and Abigail Danko; grandparents, Sally and George Danko Sr., Bert Kaiser Sr. and Papa Byron Peterson, and great-uncle Hal Buruse. Tim Jr. is a 1993 graduate of Rufus King High School, attended Dakota Wesleyan University on a baseball scholarship before enlisting in the U.S. Army. He began his Army career as a artillery crewman, then re-enlisted to become a Military Policeman. His overseas assignments included Korea, Guantonomo Bay, Afghanistan and two tours in Iraq. Tim Danko Jr. was a highly decorated solder, his awards include: Bronze Star Medal, Army Commendation Medal 3rd Oak Leaf Cluster, Army Achievement Medal 2nd Oak Leaf Cluster, Army Good Conduct Medal 3rd Award, Reserve Components Achievement Medal, National Defense Service Medal 2nd Award, Afghanistan Campaign Medal, Iraq Campaign Medal, Global War on Terrorism (Expeditionary) Medal, Global War on Terrorism (Service) Medal, Korea Defense Service Medal, NCO Professional Development Ribbon 3rd Award, Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon 2nd Award, Combat Action Badge, Air Assault Badge and Sergeant Audie Murphy Award. A heartfelt thanks to St. John's Hospital's Staff in Springfield, MO. Words of thanks can never come close to expressing our appreciation of the kindness our family received from Community Memorial Hospital's ICU staff and Vitas Hospice.
