Passed away peacefully at his home in Delafield, Wisconsin on December 29, 2011, at the age of 63. Beloved husband of the late Susan M. Mentkowski, preceded in death by brother Charles Howard Mentkowski and parents Ann (Collins) and Charles Wallace Mentkowski. Tim is survived by brothers James (Anne) Mentkowski, Thomas (Sheila) Mentkowski, step-sister SaraLee (Jay) Allison, and step-mother of 36 years, Marcia Mentkowski. Survived as well by mother-in-law Marion Howard, sisters-in-law Kathy (Brad) Bernstein, JoAnn Howard, and Mary (Peter) Hartman. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Tim graduated from Francis Jordan High School in 1966. Active in scouting, he achieved the level of Eagle Scout. He went on to graduate with a BS degree in electrical engineering from the University of Illinois at Champagne-Urbana. He continued his education, earning a law degree from Marquette University. Tim was a trial lawyer for 30 years and partner in the firm Crivello, Carlson. Active in his community, Tim volunteered for 20 years as Chairman of the Upper Nemahbin Lake District Management. Gracious and generous, Tim hosted frequent gatherings of family and friends at his lake home, keeping all entertained with his sense of humor and versatile story telling. A nature lover, he enjoyed bird watching, growing heirloom tomatoes, cross country skiing and traveling the grandeur of the USA. For relaxation he enjoyed woodworking projects, following WI sport teams, music festivals and baking bread.Tim Mentkowski's family is celebrating his life AT THE FUNERAL HOME on Monday, January 16, from 4:00 PM to 6:45 PM with a service at 7:00 PM.
