Thomas Oliver Straw

Passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 6, 2016 at the age of 88. Devoted husband of the late Arlayne Straw (Nee Hinterberg). Irreplaceable father of Wendy Straw of Chicago, Il, Ellen (Jeff) Bogart of Santa Fe, NM and Jennifer (Terry) Ramey of Huber Heights, OH. Grandfather of Justin Young and Lynn Young (Bob McElwee). Great-grandfather of Nicholas and Natalie McElwee. Brother of Dorothy Morita and brother-in-law of Carol Barbee, Janice (Roger) Kowalchyk and Shirley Metz. Further survived by nieces, especially his "fourth daughter" Judi Brultz, nephews, cousins and friends.

Tom served his country during WW II in the US Army. Following service, Tom was a proud member of the Steamfitter and Pipefitter Union for over 60 years and he was an employee of Johnson Controls for 37 years. He enjoyed nature and wildlife and contributed to the conservancy of both. He was a firm believer in giving back in the form of donations to his favorite charities. He was also very dedicated to his dogs, the latest being Pappy and Rocky.

Visitation will be at Krause Funeral Home, 12401 West National Avenue, New Berlin, WI on Saturday, January 16, from 10-11:45am. Celebration of life at 12pm.
