Our Theo (“gift from God”) was born two months prematurely on Wednesday, September 27, 2017 and, sadly, had to leave us on Saturday, March 24, 2018. For the six months he was with us, Theo’s life touched hundreds of people and was the joy of our lives. Theo is survived by his parents, Aaron and Callie (nee Chiroff) Schlicht. He is further survived by grandparents Mike and Gail (nee Jackson) Schlicht; grandmother Andrea (nee Mirhoseini) Chiroff; uncle Adam Schlicht (Aaron Tindall); aunt Katherine Chiroff (Brad Jansen); and other family and friends. Theo was preceded in death by his grandfather and namesake, James Theodore Chiroff, and other remembered family members. Theo was treated for a rare form of congenital heart disease (CHD) and other genetic complications by the expert, dedicated and caring staff of the Cardiac Intensive Care Unit at Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin. The subject of a February feature on WISN Channel 12 News, Theo inspired many with his fighting spirit and big, brown eyes. Our family is endlessly grateful for the incredible outpouring of community support. The family would also like to thank Theo’s Critical Care and Cardiac team, especially primary nurses Emily, Mai, Joel, Lisa, and Alaina as well as Theo’s physicians, including Drs. Bertrandt, Bergstrom, Handler, Hoffman, Kim, Mitchell, Niebler, Raskin, Scott, Thompson, and Wakeham. We will never forget your kindness and loving care.
