It is with much sadness that we announce Susan Ann Esser, age 71, of Waukesha Wisconsin passed away on Monday, April 13th, 2020, after a long battle with Alzheimer’s. We lost her too soon.
She grew up in Crystal Lake, Illinois with her parents Ken and Kate Ormsby and her siblings Kenny John and Jane Ormsby. Sue was known as “Susie” to her many high school and college friends and was a kind and loyal friend, always willing to listen and help a friend in need. She was married to William (Jeff) Jones in 1968 and had two daughters, Jennifer Janet Jones (Prestley) and Amanda Ann Jones (Wiberg). While raising her children she taught as a preschool teacher, then as an elementary school substitute teacher. She later earned her Master’s Degree and taught as a substitute teacher at the high school level. After moving to Wisconsin she was united in marriage to John Esser in 1998. Sue loved John’s children Brandon Esser (and wife Donna), Morgan Esser (and wife Jamie), and Jennifer Esser as she did her own. Together Sue and John started and grew The Mosquito Guy. She ran the business and scheduled appointments, but most of all loved meeting and talking to clients. One of her favorite ways to spend time was with her grandchildren Dylan Prestley, Adam Prestley, Reagan Prestley, Kendall Wiberg, Ethan Wiberg, Maddie Esser, Grant Esser, Brooklyn Esser, Noah Los, and Eli Los. Sue was also known as Gigi to her beloved Great-Grandson Remus Herrera. She and John loved to travel “Up North” in the fall as well as to Mexico and New Orleans. She will be missed dearly by us all.
We are thankful Sue was able to be cared for by John and family members at home until she passed. We thank Seasons Hospice Service for all of their help during the end of her journey.
Services are not currently planned due to COVID-19.
