On February 27th, 2023, God has called down to a hard-working provider and extremely lovable man. He has called him after 72 years of blood, sweat, tears of painstaking hard work, a supernatural instinct to protecting his family’s livelihood, and a mindset of love and cherishment. He is survived by his longtime love and wife, Vanny Vongsoury. Father to his many children: firstborns Vilakhone, and Vanessa; uniquely talented Daeng and Thanonsack; the two who have inherited much of what this man represented are Nipha and Kate; and the youngest individualities James and David. He joins and embraces his middle child Tao (Sam) at the pearly gates of heaven. He was beloved and well-cherished by his numerous grandchildren: Faith, Hope, Chase, Pookie, Jem, Kathaleya, Gomin, Jaylen, Lily, Calvin, Ann, Noah, Liam, Xander and Reign. His favorite pets were the large Arowana (Benji) and a cute little pup named Louis.
Born in Laos, immigrated to his home here in Wisconsin in the 1980’s as a refugee and became a naturalized citizen of the United States. He trained and took up the mantle of a CNC-Machinist in a growing industry and laid claim to a 30+ -year career at Harken Inc. He was a devoted and protective father with a love for cooking and seeing smiles on his children’s faces. He always taught them to love first, cherish next, and provide always. Strict, stern, handsome and extremely funny were his greatest qualities. He always knew how to create a fun and loving atmosphere wherever he went. His love of cooking was his absolute favorite thing to share with his loved ones and never disappointed when it came to taste and invitation to join in the dining experience. After spending 72 years living in this world, he succumbed to the invasive threat of lung cancer. He fought hard alongside a fighting spirit of hope and wanting the ability to enjoy his children and grandchildren’s smiles and laughter. He departed with us peacefully after much pain and restlessness. He is now on his peaceful journey home.
