Ruth N. (Anderson) Rollman, passed away peacefully on April 15, 2024, at the age of 83.
Ruth was born on September 30, 1940, in Dover, New Jersey to Carl and Dorothy (Hendricks) Anderson. She married and raised her family in a cherished neighborhood in Lake Hopatcong, New Jersey and later, Davenport, Iowa. Ruth married Edward Rollman in 1989 in Bettendorf, Iowa. They later moved to the Milwaukee area and enjoyed exploring the city, hosting friends and family celebrations and nights on the town dancing. Ruth worked her whole life in the insurance industry, but more notably as a devoted and tireless caregiver to her husband for twenty years. She moved to the Regency Senior Community in New Berlin where she met many new friends and loved hosting Packer parties.
Ruth’s greatest joy was her five grandchildren and eight great grandchildren, of whom she never grew tired of sharing pictures and stories. Ruth took great pride in her home and loved sharing it with family and friends and making sure everyone had something to eat. If you left her place without at least a beverage, that was your own fault.
She leaves many lasting legacies, most notably the love of her family and resilience and grace with which she lived until the end.
Ruth is survived and missed by her son Jay VanArsdale and daughter Jana VanArsdale, her grandchildren Jayson VanArsdale, Alex VanArsdale, Emalee VanArsdale, Brett Lowry, Erin Lowry, her great grandchildren Jaiden, Alex Jr., Jeremiah, McKenzie, Jackson, Jordan, Kaylee and Tyson, and lifelong friend, Patricia O’Connell of Myrtle Beach, SC. She is preceded in death by her parents Carl and Dorothy Anderson, her infant son Troy VanArsdale, husband Edward Rollman, brother Gerald Anderson (Ida) of Boonton, NJ, sister Joan (Al) Budd of Binghamton NY, and her ex-husband, David VanArsdale.
A private family memorial service will be held.
