(Nee Kolo) Of New Berlin, passed away on Tuesday, January 22, 2013 after a brief hospitalization, at the age of 83. Born on August 18, 1929 in Milwaukee, she was the daughter of Joseph and Mary (nee Zaleski) Kolo. After graduating from Girls Tech High School in 1947, she was united in marriage to Robert Hutchinson on September 30, 1950. With a love of travel, Ruth and her husband took many cruises throughout the years. She was an avid dancer and singer, and also enjoyed watercolors, painting, craftwork, and gardening. She had a special love for her German Shepherd dogs who have passed before her, Peggy #1 and Peggy #2, along with "grand-dogs" Heidi, Ruby, Emma (German Shepherds), Patches (Beagle), Booker, Chivas, Dudley (Basset Hounds), Sam and Nelly (Golden Retrievers). Ruth is also survived by grand-dogs Kona (German Shepherd/Shiba Inu) and Brady (Collie).She will be deeply missed by her husband Robert G. Hutchinson of New Berlin; son William D. (Linda) Hutchinson of Cottage Grove, MN; daughter Mary Ann Hutchinson of Triangle, VA; and brother Richard (Margaret) Kolo of Greenfield, WI. She is further survived by brother-in-law Robert Wueste of Clemson, SC; and sisters-in-law Elizabeth (Hutchinson) Strempel of New Berlin, WI and Marjorie (Hutchinson) Slack of Lafayette, GA; along with many nieces and nephews, grand neices and nephews, and great neices and nephews. She will also be missed by many lifelong friends.She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters: Rose, Alice and Esther; and brother Harry.In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the New Berlin Police Department K-9 Unit as follows: Checks made out to New Berlin Police Department with a note attached or in the notes area marked "Donation K-9 Unit in Memory of Ruth E Hutchinson".
