Robert T. LaFond

Age 63 years. Bob was born to life on April 3, 1945 and born to Eternal Life surrounded by the love of his family on Wednesday, March 4, 2009 after a courageous battle with cancer. Beloved husband and best friend of Trudy (nee Wielebski) for 42 magical years. Bob is survived by Trudy; sons Dan (Karen) and Jeff (Sue); daughters Amy LaFond and Jennifer (Kurt) Brandes; and six adoring grandchildren: Eric, Sarah, Elizabeth, Angela, Jackson, and Benjamin; brothers Larry (Cathy) and Michael (Vicky); sister Patricia; other relatives and many friends. Preceded in death by his parents M. Larry, Sr. and Winifred "Winny" LaFond and brother David LaFond. Bob was a senior loan officer at the Equitable Bank for the past 10 years. He was involved in the real estate and mortgage business for more than 35 years and was a past president of the Greater Milwaukee Association of Realtors and the Milwaukee Sertoma Club, past member of Toastmasters International, Centurions of St. Joseph's Hospital and was an active member of St. Clare Catholic Church in Wind Lake until recently. Bob left a footprint in the heart of anyone he ever met. Bob battled cancer the way he lived his life, with courage and eternal optimism. Our family would like to thank Wheaton Franciscan Hospice and everyone else who tried to help ease his pain. God blessed the day you were born. You taught us all that the little things in life should be treasured, how to live each day to its fullest, and how to die with dignity. Visitation at St. Leonard Catholic Church, W173 S7743 Westwood Drive, Muskego on Sunday, March 8, 2009 at 1PM until the Mass of Christian Burial at 5PM. Private entombment at Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
