Robert Harold Buehler, “Bob,” entered Heaven on January 14, 2025, at the age of 91 1/2. Born June 9, 1933, Bob was raised by his parents Harold Gust Buehler and Ethel Nellie (Sarow) Buehler in Milwaukee.
Bob accepted Jesus as his personal savior in 1946 when he was 13 years old attending a Vacation Bible School event.
He attended Milwaukee Public Schools graduating from North Division in 1951. After graduation Bob was drafted by the Army where he proudly served his County from 1953 to 1955, being stationed in Spokane Washington as a radar operator and then serving in the Reserves until 1961.
He received his B.A. and Master of Education from UW Milwaukee and taught 6th grade science and math at Thomas Jefferson Middle School and North Middle School in Menomonee Falls for 33 1/2 years retiring in June 1993.
Bob married Janet Laura Riedy, June 13, 1959. Together they had two boys, Dave (Ann) Buehler and Andy (Ruth) Buehler and settled in Menomonee Falls.
After 25 years of marriage, he became a widower in August of 1984. He married Sandra (Sandy) Ann Vollriede, December 28, 1985. They enjoyed almost 40 years of life together. Sandy, also a widow, had two boys Thomas (Desanka) Elwell and Robert Elwell.
Together Sandy and Bob enjoyed their blended families welcoming grandchildren: Samantha (Tyler), Isaac, Kristen (Emilio), Katie, Catherine, Sophia, Nikolas and Krishna and welcomed their first great grandchild, Alora, into this world in November.
Bob and Sandy were active members of Spring Creek (Garfield) Church for over 50 years. They loved singing in the choir, participating in the cantatas, Easter plays and Amerifest as well as being very active with their Life Group and serving in other capacities at the church.
He volunteered for the Men’s group at the Menomonee Falls Health Care Center starting in 1984 and for many years. He also enjoyed volunteering at Shady Lane School teaching Art ‘Ala Carte to the students.
He continued to love teaching science to his nieces, nephews and grandchildren and especially loved sharing his vast knowledge of gardening.
Bob was preceded in death by his first wife Janet (Riedy) Buehler, mother Ethel (Sarow) Buehler, father Harold Buehler, brother Donnie Buehler, sister-in-law Jan Buehler, brother-in-law James Riedy.
Survivors include Sandy, his brother Gerald Buehler, two sons, two stepsons, eight grandchildren, one great-granddaughter and many special nieces, nephews, cousins and great grandnephew & nieces.
Services to be held on Monday, January 27, 2025, at Spring Creek Church, N35 W22000 West Capitol Drive, Pewaukee Wisconsin. Open viewing 9:30 AM – 10:00AM; Visitation 10:00 AM -11:00 AM; Service 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM; Military salute 12:00 PM; Luncheon following. Burial at 2:00 PM at Wisconsin Memorial Cemetery.
