I am sorry I won't be able to be there today to celebrate the life of this gentle, kindly man who had such good humor. Mr and Mrs Barnes have always been a strong pillar of the Holy Apostles and New Berlin communities and he will be sorely missed. My heart and prayers go out to all of the Barnes family who are all a wonderful reflection of their loving and lovable parents.

I remember Mr Barnes sitting in the stands of almost every college game Tim and I played in, at Ripon College. I actually don't remember him sitting because, as our biggest fan, he was always on his feet cheering. There were a few times he got so excited he ended up halfway on to the court. What a wonderful guy! He raised an amazing family and will be greatly missed.
