Richard T. “Dick” Nell
Dick was called home on July 24, 2025 at the age of 85 years. Beloved husband of Judy for 67 years. Dick passed peacefully at Kathy Hospice with his wife by his side.
Born May 12, 1940 in Milwaukee to parents William and Bernice Nell. Dick and Judy (Ahrens) married in 1958 and had three sons.
Caring father of Rick (Debra), Randy, and Russ (Kelly). Grandpa of Ryan (Cortney), Chris (Stesha), Natalie (special friend Tim), Amanda (fiancé Jesse), Carlie (Jay), Brittany, Trisha (Mike) and Travis. Great Grandpa to Oliver, Tatum, Sawyer, EJ, Elias, Julian, Otto, and Maverick.
Survived by brother-in-law Richard Ahrens, sisters-in-law Dottie Karph and Nancy Nell. Further survived by nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by parents, brothers Bill and twin brother Bob, brothers-in-law Al Ahrens and Keith Karpf, and sisters-in-law Arlene Ahrens and Diane Nell.
Dick was the co-founder and CEO of Waukesha Tool and Stamping along with business partner and dear friend Charlie Gieringer.
Dick was an avid hunter and sportsman, he was a charter member and past president of SCI Wisconsin chapter.
Dick and Judy were longtime members of St. Paul’s UCC church in the town of Erin. In the 1980s he served as leader of their youth group. A trip to the boundary waters was a memory never forgotten.
Visitation at Krause Funeral Home, 21600 West Capitol Drive, Brookfield, Wisconsin on Thursday, July 31, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:45 AM. A service for Dick will be held at 12:00 PM. A private family burial will take place at the church.
