Richard Harris Jr. was born on September 24, 1948 to the union of the late Richards Harris and Savannah Turner Harris in Mason, Tennessee.Richard Harris Jr. recieved his education from Frazier High School in Covington, Tennessee.Richard accepted Christ as his Savior at an arly age and united with Beech Chapel C.M.E. Church in Mason, Tennessee. Richard Harris Jr. was united in Holy matrimony with Diane Zanders on September 9, 1972 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Their union was blessed with two children.He was employed by Concours Motors as a parts delivery driver until he retired. In his leisure, he enjoyed going to and watching baseball games, barbequing, watching western movies, football and the ten o'clock news. He especially loved spending time with his grandchildren and family. Richard was also a long time member of the Goodwill Community Opportunities Club.Richard Harris Jr. departed this life on May 7, 2012. He was preceded in death by his devoted wife of 28 years, Diane Harris; two brothers, George "Doug," James "Bo," Harris of Memphis, TN; mother and father-in-law, Rose and Eddie Zanders; nephew, Johnny Zanders of Milwaukee, WI.He leaves to cherish his memory: his devoted sons, Durville (Joyce) Harris and Travis Harris; three grandsons, Brandon, Derrick and Sam Harris; one great-granddaughter, NeVaeh Harris of Milwaukee, WI; three brothers, Leroy, Joe Lee Harris of Mason, TN, David Harris of Brownville, TN; three sisters, Augustine, Annie, Alice Harris of Mason, TN; three sisters-in-law, two of Milwaukee, WI and one of New Orleans, LA; one brother-in-law of Milwaukee, WI; a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, great-nieces, great-nephews and friends of Tennessee and Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
