Loving father and patriarch of the family, passed away peacefully on July 2, 2017. Survived by Ann Lansing, his loving wife of 65 years, his children Tom (Karen) Lansing, James Lansing, and grandchildren Olivia (Bror) Herrick, Natalie Lansing, Tyler Lansing, and sister Joan Pecor.
Born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on August 3, 1931 to parents Thomas and Edith Lansing, Richard graduated from Bayview High School before enlisting and serving in the Korean War. Richard was a longtime employee of the Joseph Wittig Company and a Business Manager of Plumbers Local 75. A passionate advocate for the working man, he dedicated his life to improving working conditions and benefits for union plumbers. A lifelong golfer, fisherman, and bowling enthusiast, Richard had a charismatic presence and was a devoted family man. He was dearly loved, and will be missed by all who knew him.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 8, 2017 at Krause Funeral Home, 21600 West Capitol Drive, Brookfield, Wisconsin at 9:00 AM until the funeral service at 11:00 AM.
