Rev. Joseph McNeil, Sr.

Passed away peacefully on October 4, 2012, at age 85. Loving husband of the late Helen Romona McNeil. Beloved father of Rev. Gregory (Helena), the late Alan, Sr., Joetta (Paul) Brown, Marilyn, Francine (Nathaniel) Harris and Joseph, Jr. (Renee). Further survived by grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and a host of other family and friends. Joseph was a proud veteran of the US Navy. He retired after 35 years of service as a mold finisher at Wehr Steel. Joseph was recognized for his life achievements with the Boy Scouts. He served faithfully as a minister for 44 years. Visitation at the Funeral Home on Tuesday, October 9, at 6:00-8:00 PM. Additional visitation at Greater Mount Zion Baptist Church, 2479 North Sherman Boulevard, on Wednesday at 10:00 AM until time of Service at 11:00 AM. Entombment to follow at Graceland Cemetery.
