Randall Richard Harris passed away suddenly on May 18, 2020, at age 63.
Randy was a voracious reader, and enjoyed any sci-fi movie, good or bad, traveling, and was a true Milwaukee Brewers fan. He loved to cook, having perfected many dishes over the years, and was always open to friendly debates with his brothers. “Ran-dell”, as his wife called him, most enjoyed time with his children and family, and was excited to be “Grandy” to his first grandchild.
Randy enjoyed meeting and serving his clients and customers as a Realtor for 20 years, describing himself as a solutions manager with MyPro Realty, and formerly with Realty Executives Integrity and Prudential. He partnered with his wife, Janet, as the Harris & Harris Team for over 17 years. Randy was a former general manager of Harris Classical Broadcasting WFMR-FM (98.3) and WFMI-FM (106.9) radio stations in Milwaukee in the 90’s, until the stations were sold, having first joined the company at WSPB-AM in Sarasota, FL. He was a sales representative for ABC-owned and operated WLS-TV in Chicago, ABC TV Spot Sales in Dallas, and Blair Radio in Dallas and Detroit.
He was a wise and kind father of three. When his children were young, he enjoyed coaching their little league soccer and baseball teams, wanting every player to enjoy sports and being a part of a team. A Pewaukee resident for 27 years, he volunteered through the years at Pewaukee School District for the PTO, Booster Club, and some memorable chaperoning. He was an exuberant friend with a loud voice and laugh, who had a way of welcoming people and staying in touch.
Preceded in death by his father, Richard Harris. Survived by his wife of 37 years, Janet; children Casey (Jack Moore), Kylie (Bryan) Cooper, and Ryan; grandson; Pete Moore; his mother, Lynne. He is further survived by his sister Cynthia (David) Bishop, brothers Brian and Kenneth (Jennifer), sister Leslie (Eric) Larsen, parents-in-law James and Lael Geyer, sisters-in-law Laura Geyer and Barbara (Phil) Bowersox, brother-in-law Paul (Sky) Geyer, and many nieces and nephews.
