Passed away on April 5, 2013, at age 92 after a short but difficult battle with cancer. She filled many lives and hearts with her joy, laughter, faith and forever positive and generous spirit. She was blessed with six sons, Tommie, Patrick, Jeffrey, Jonathon, Daniel and Donald. She had been living in Elm Grove, following the passing of her husband, Myron, in 1995.
Priscilla was an absolute "doer" of a person, filling her days and years with fishing and camping at her beloved Lac Courte Oreilles near Hayward, traveling the country and abroad with friends and family, generously giving her time and talents to church groups and activities, and cherishing every minute of her weekly "bridge clubs" and the many dear friends she and her husband, Myron, made playing cards over the years. When not playing bridge, she was often caught playing sheepshead or "shafskopf" as she use to call it. She had a long and faithful commitment to Petawa Residence and Cultural Center for Women in Milwaukee. And, of course, she had the patience of a saint, raising six boys and not a single daughter.
Priscilla proudly served her country in the United States Navy during World War II and she was selected to participate in the Stars and Stripes Honor Flight to Washington in 2011. She took the trip with her brother, Walter, also a World War II veteran, and was escorted by her youngest son, Donald. She was born Priscilla Jensen in Racine and attended St. Catherine's High School. Priscilla and Myron met in Racine, while both were working at Twin Disc. They were married in 1945. Priscilla had been a member of St. Matthias Catholic Church, Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church and most recently, St. Mary's Catholic Church in Elm Grove.
Priscilla is survived by her sisters Lois and Jane, both of Racine, and her brother Walter, also of Racine. Deceased siblings include her brothers Roger, Wallace and Ralph and her sister Nancy. Grandchildren include Andy, Evan and Aaron Knapp (Jeff and his wife Sue); Patrick Knapp, Jr., Nolan Knapp, Tracy Dallen and Janee Wolf (Patrick Senior and his wife Bonnie); Joshua, Jacob, Justin and Joey Knapp and Andrea Carr (Daniel). Great-grandchildren include Victoria, Richie and Jocelyn (Tracy and her husband Richard); Jordon (Nolan and his wife Lori); and Melanie (Jacob).
Visitation will be at the Funeral Home on Wednesday, April 10, 4:00-6:45 PM, with a Vigil Service at 6:45 PM. A second Visitation will be at St. Mary's Elm Grove on Thursday, April 11, 9:00-10:00 AM. Mass of a Christian Burial at 10:00 AM. Per her wishes, Priscilla will be buried next to her husband, Myron, at Mt. Olivet Cemetery on 38th and Morgan Avenue on Milwaukee's South Side.
